This week I did a look inspired by Sleeping Beauty, which is one of the favourite cartoons of Danielle @Bloomin' Beauty!
Danielle has great taste because Sleeping Beauty is one of Disney's most visually striking animated films, thanks to Disney artist Eyvind Earle.
Sleeping Beauty was the last Disney cartoon to use hand-inked cels. The art direction was inspired by medieval art. Walt wanted this film to look different from the others -more stylized. Because of the technology used -the Super Technirama 70, this meant the backgrounds could contain more detailed and complex artwork than ever used in an animated movie before. Disney artist Eyvind Earle was the film's production designer and painted the majority of the backgrounds himself. Each painting took seven to ten days to create, but boy was it ever worth it! Sleeping Beauty is an amazing piece of art work.
My EOTD is inspired by the usual look Princess Aurora is portrayed-all pink and princessy!

I thought I'd share some pictures of Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland too!
