GLOSSYBOX has arrived in Canada!
After great succes in the United Kingdom, France and Italy, they've decided to expand into twenty countries in 2012 including Canada. Founded in Germany, GLOSSYBOX is a monthly subscription beauty service that delivers 5-luxury samples from high end collections right to you door.
I was lucky enough to receive a sample box to review.
My thoughts?
Meh.
Ok, I lied. The snark sneaked out early.

The GLOSSYBOX is really cute and arrives in a pink/black shipping box. Wrapped up are your 5 luxury beauty samples including a description of each product and how to use it with tips and tricks as well.

In my GLOSSYBOX was:
-a Beauty So Clean cosmetic sanitizer sample and some portable wipe versions
-an Oscar deLaRenta Live In Love Body Lotion
-an Ahava mineral hand cream
-Essie nail polish
-Elizabeth Grant Lip Conditioner
-Prevage Night Cream
What GLOSSYBOX is trying to do differently from the plethora of monthly subscriptions staring to be available to us in Canada, is they want your feedback on the products you received. You complete a survey on the contents so that your next box is better suited for your needs. You get 20 GlossyDots for each completed individual product survey, and when you accumulate 1000 Glossydots, your next box will be free. And you can cancel your subscription at anytime.
Personally, I wish these subscription boxes would stop sending nail polish. And while I like the smell of the Oscar deLaRenta Live In Love Body Lotion, I would have preferred to get a sample of the actual perfume since there was already a hand cream in the box. And, I am not a fan of Elizabeth Grant products, so I'd prefer not to see them. With that said, the lip balm is nice though. Prevage is considered luxury beauty and I do like the Prevage Night Cream, as it's one I've been testing out and have a review about coming up. But one luxury beauty item is not five. Not in my beauty junkie world at least.
I think GLOSSYBOX has room for improvement, and I think they'll get better as time goes on. I mean, some of the boxes I've seen reviewed in the UK have been really great. This one falls a bit short for me.
